Green Dock Lights Underwater Lighting Operating Tips

Use the light daily as it attracts bait and “trains” fish to return to the same feeding source every night.

Leaving the light off for extended periods of time may enhance marine growth on the light cover. We recommend removing the light from the water if it is not in use for several days.

Photoelectric cell on the housing unit must receive light to turn off and darkness to turn on. Click here to purchase one today.

The optimum depth for the Green Dock Lights is 8ft-12ft. Customers are advised to keep the light at least 3ft. deep to avoid boat, propeller wash. It is recommended that the light is not placed deeper than 20ft.

Use of the light is not recommended in extreme tidal conditions or wave action, such as shorelines or beachfront.

Although the electric housing is built for the outdoors, it is weather resistant, NOT water proof. It is highly recommended that you house the unit under an overhang or boat house. The unit may be housed indoors (i.e. in a shed), but it must receive ambient light to cycle correctly.

Deploy the light in an area clear of debris and away from swimmers.

We recommend testing your GFCI on a monthly basis. To do so, make sure the light is on then press the test button. This should stop the flow of electricity to the electric housing unit and the light should switch off. Push the reset button and wait a few minutes and the light should cycle back on.
